What a story to tell! KIGO panels have been accredited WELL in France for buildings aiming at environmental excellence. The panels have been included in the renovation of an exceptional building – 55 Amsterdam Street in Paris. The 55 Amsterdam Street is the first building to be labeled WELL in France. This certification is focused on future living conditions of the 55. Comfort, health and well-being constitute the foundation of the WELL approach, its seven tenets (air, water, food, light, physical activity, sport and mind) and the integration of notions such as concentration, energy, physiology, stress and humor management. This is then followed by BIODIVERSITY. A subsequent certification is EFFINERGIE. The proprietors of the 55 Amsterdam Street are aiming further in their pursuit for excellence: they are now applying their efforts to reach BREEAM certification at the Outstanding level and to obtain a LEED Platinum certification as well. We are extremely pleased to be involved in such a Research in Excellence project and to be recognized for our energy performance. Concretely, our panels contribute to these green efforts engaging with the owners in their energy performance goals: the 55 Amsterdam intends to reduce its energy consumption to 45% below the national average. The future of building construction is happening and we, at KIGO, are part of it. Brilliant! You may click below to read an article highlighting various technical aspects. The building is spread over eight floors and a welcoming ground floor. It covers 130,000 sq. ft. of office and service space and has public areas of about 15,000 sq. ft. 55 RUE D'AMSTERDAM, PARIS
